Central Kansas Yarn Hop
October 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20
How the Central Kansas Yarn Hop Works
Passport booklets are available for purchase at any participating shop, and are $5 from September 20-October 16th. During the dates of the hop they are $6. Passport booklet purchases are final and non-refundable. A free gift with every passport purchase while supply lasts! More reasons to purchase your passports early!
Each shop will showcase a unique pattern both crochet and knitting and or each shop will be doing it's own thing as far as special discounts or promotions. Plan your holiday gift giving around the hop this year, purchasing a project from every shop! In the event that a featured yarn is sold out, it will be replaced with another yarn and or pattern.
Each shop you visit will stamp the postcard on the back of the passport. A purchase is not required to have your postcard stamped, however, each hop participant must accompany the postcard (please do no bring one in and have it stamped for your friend who does not come in to the shop, for example.) One passport per participant, please. Thank You for understanding.
If you have stamps from all 7 shops, you are eligible for the grand prize: a basket of yarn, tools, and accessories with a retail value up to approximately $900.00.
Each yarn shop will have a prize basket to give away in their shop. Included in your passport is drawing slip to fill out and leave in each shop as you visit. These prizes take the place of the consolation prizes and you have to visit the shop to enter for that prize. The more shops you visit, the more chances you have to win!! If you win a prize in one shop, you will not be eligible for a second prize. That way more yarn hoppers can win!
Entering the Drawing
The purchase of your passport is your ticket to enter for the prizes. To enter the drawing, simply fill out your information, detach the passport and leave it with the last shop you visit. Also included in your passport is a page for each individual shop entry. Pre fill these out for quick entry when you enter each shop. (pre-scoring the page is also recomended , perhaps with a rotary marking tool). No purchase necessary to enter.
PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR PASSPORT WITH YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE HOP! In the past, passports have been left behind by accident, so you want to make sure we know who gets the credit for those shops already stamped.
